The Purpose of our trip is primarily to have our eyes opened and our hearts exposed to the culture and lives of the African people. Our first agenda is to learn and to build relationships with our African brothers and sisters wherever we go. We will honor them, serve them, and love them at every opportunity. Our plan at Canaan Farm will be to build a structure that can serve as a community shelter for protection from the elements, can be used as a workshop for Yobel women, and as a community gathering place at other times. If funds allow we may also be building an intern hut for future Yobel volunteers to be housed long-term. We also will visit Africans in their homes, carry water, do agricultural projects, tour the markets, visit schools, play games with children, and have the opportunity to minister possibly by putting on a YL Club or Sunday School.
